Pierwotnym założeniem było zakrycie całej więźby dachowej i stworzenie standardowego mieszkania. Na szczęście udało się pokazać konstrukcję dachu, a mieszkanie otworzyć na wysokość ok 5m.

Użycie cegły na ścianach szczytowych lokalu spotęgowało industrialny odbiór wnętrza. Dodatkowym ruchem było zamknięcie kuchni w "ceglanej" obudowie komina.
